Heading North on the N1, take exit 47 to Wellington. Turn left at the stop at the end of the off-ramp.

Just before Wellington there is a set of traffic lights - turn left onto the R44.

Continue straight on in the direction of Ceres until you reach the Nuwe Kloof Pass (approx 60km )

Go through the pass and continue for approx 2km, until you reach a crossroads - take the left turn towards Tulbagh.

Follow this road until you reach a t-junction, where you turn left into Tulbagh town.

Continue straight through the town - past the 4 way stop and the church on your right .

Drive for approx 3-4 km till you get to a 'Y' in the road - take the left fork.

Drive a further 3-4 km and just past 'Vrolikheid' Horse Farm turn left onto a dirt road - the entrance to the road is marked with the Welbedacht Nature Reserve sign.

Follow this road - over the small bridge, and around a large bend. The turn off to the reserve is on the left just after this bend. There is a wooden sign at the entrance that says 'Welbedacht'.

Once on the reserve, roads to the Retreat Centre, Office, and Cottages are marked with wooden signs. Take the second turn to the right - The Blue Butterfly Retreat Centre!
